We believe that truthful, good design comes from development, experimentation and testing with the user at the heart of the product.

Longevity, inclusivity and reduction of the earth's precious materials will be at the forefront of all our proposals to you.

The above outlines the design process we follow to ensure we get the best outcome for your project or design. The process is circular, there are phases that overlap, but we can talk you through it when we meet and personalise it to you and your product.

Phase 1 Understand

At the very start of the journey, it's all about understanding the history of the product, and how it might sit in a consumer-facing world. This involves research, analysing competitors and defining the brief.

We may start to generate some concepts at this stage, or you might have started that already, we can help you develop those into more workable solutions to take us into the create and development phase.

Here we will also run an FMEA (failure, mode, effect, analysis) on your product, which provides you with the risks and challenges you might face - which we can help you overcome.

Phase 2 Create

The next phase, create, is all about learning from the research we have gathered and turning it into possible solutions through sketch work, renderings and even some computer-aided design (CAD) at this stage.

We may delve into some prototypes at this early stage if it helps us get some more valuable feedback and a clearer direction for the project.

Phase 3 Develop

The development phase is a really exciting stage, as we start to see something more tangible from the work we have done so far in phases 1 and 2.

We start some real prototyping where the end user can try out a possible design that helps tell a story you might need for further investment.

This is where we might also begin the journey into manufacturing by analysing the final outcomes and running them through a design for manufacture (DFM) stage and building any refinements into the design to optimise it for production, and more importantly, longevity and sustainability.

Phase 4 Evaluate

During the evaluation stage, we try and improve your product further by trying to reduce the material, the time it takes to manufacture, or the number of parts and processes involved in making the product.

This information can come from information you already have or from phases 1, 2 and 3 which will be generated.
